Emily Herdic, Next Big Name in Climbing?

Emily Herdic on the Bachar Ladder performance evaluation, giving everything she has.

Emily Herdic came into the event with power and strength. She was sitting in first place in the strength evaluation, and was not slowing down any time soon.

She had the second highest bench press score, 2nd highest Grippul score, and tied with world champion, Natalia Grossman, in the weighted pull-up evaluation. She was nothing short of Amazing, especially when you have the IFSC World Champion putting on the pressure.

During the climbing evaluation, she maintained her tempo, and delivered an amazing performance, almost securing first place. Grossman pulled out on top, to secure the win. And Herdic walked away with a decent check for second place of $300.

With a performance like she had, being so close to Grossman, it definitely indicates a bright future ahead of her in climbing. We’re not sure of her plans to continue competing, but she just completed an open pro competition, with a solid performance.
